|导演简介

鹏飞毕业于法国3iS: Institut international de l’image et du son大学,在法国生活了8年时间。他曾同台湾知名导演蔡明亮和韩国导演洪尚秀一同工作。他的处女作《地下香》荣获了诸多国际奖项。

|Director’s biography

Graduated from 3iS: Institut international de l’image et du son, Peng Fei lives in France for 8 years. He worked with award winning Taiwanese director Tsai Ming Liang and Korean director Hong Sang-soo. His debut feature UNDERGROUND FRAGRANCE received international reputation.

|导演阐述

这是我第二部作品,在云南沧源佤族自治县拍摄,我在那边生活了一年,由于空气成分的缘故,那里的颜色十分清晰且绚丽多彩,就像影片画面里呈现的一样,但那里的人,迅速的变化着,也许经济与科技是使之变化的原因之一。这当然是好事,但有时也失去了原本他们的味道。我能体会到他们对佛教的虔诚,但话里话外又都是钱,我能看到科技带来的变化,但与此同时也让电玩占据了孩子们的青春。我能感受到他们希望通过发展旅游来带动经济,但旅游与传统文化之间的平衡,又不是那么容易把握。就像影片的结尾,拜佛的大门被锁了起来,只有孩子们才能钻进去。

|Director’s statement

This is my second film. The film was shot in Va Autonomous County of Cangyuan, Yunnan Province, where I lived for year. Because of the air composition, colors in that place are quite clear and gorgeous, just like it presents in the film. However, people is influenced by the development of the society such as economy and technology. It is good in a way, but people lost their local identity somehow. I realized conflicts between their loyalty for Buddha and the desire for money. I saw the advancement of technology and the loss of time among the youth. I felt it is hard to seek a balance between tradition and tourism though locals hope tourism would help local economy. The ending of the film presents that: the door to the Buddha is locked and only children can get into.

|影片简介

傣族女子叶喃辞掉城市中的工作,返回云南家乡照顾12岁女儿喃杭,女儿正值叛逆初期,每天都让叶喃烦恼。两人立场不同,但倔强的性格相同,相爱相杀的事屡屡发生。女儿表面与母亲做对,但也听不进别人说她的妈妈,一次村里的阿婆诋毁她的母亲,她就以偷盗阿婆上贡的钱花为报复,没想到金额过大,被公安局带走,母女俩成为村中指指点点的对象。叶喃生气之余,也反思自己是一个失败的母亲。女儿的好友生了重病,县里的医院无能为力,村里人想各种办法救护这个小女孩,有社工带领着村民募捐,有老人请山神保佑,大家寄希望于孩子能在附近机场开通后,飞到大城市去看病,但事与愿违。为了给村子祈福,失落的村民,按照山神指引,走向因开发旅游而许久未去的溶洞,叶喃母女以一段优美的传统舞蹈完成了亲情最好的交融,以此祭拜那尊被遗忘许久的石佛。

|Synopsis

After years working in town, Ye Nan, a mother from Dai Minority, comes back to her village in Yunnan at the Sino-Burmese border. She wants to take care of her left-behind 13-year-old problem daughter. However, the road to rebuild their relationship is full of obstacles. Meanwhile, villagers are excited about the newly built local airport and future possibilities. One day the daughter is arrested for stealing money from a donation box in the most sacred temple with her friend, who gets sick afterwards. As people think the girls are possessed by devil, they decide to follow indications from the Mountain God to save the girls and the future of their village, who asks them to go to worship the stone Buddha in the 250-million-year-old karst cave during the Water-Sprinkling Festival…
